The Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) has put forth a demand to remove the president to prevent division within the organization. The producers and distributors stated that they would be ready for further discussions only if there is a leadership change.

Some even flayed that the decision to withhold the release of movies was driven by the president's personal interests rather than a collective team decision. The rumours and decisions to protest has fueled the push to oust the current leadership.

The current president of FEUOK, K Vijayakumar, is slated to serve until March 31, but may have to resign earlier in response to the demands of association members. It is learnt that the upcoming elections will take place one month from now.

The decision to delay movie releases appears to have backfired for the FEUOK leadership team. Producers who were against FEUOK's decisions have rejected all demands from the association. They are awaiting the president's removal to prevent a potential split within the FEUOK association.
