Cinema lovers are eagerly awaiting the release of Empuraan, the highly anticipated film starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj. The recently released trailer created a massive buzz among fans. Now, online ticket bookings for the movie have officially begun across various platforms.

Reports suggest that as soon as bookings opened, a massive surge of fans flooded ticketing websites. In fact, the ticketing platform BookMyShow reportedly faced server issues due to the huge demand. Almost all major booking platforms are witnessing a rush for Empuraan tickets, with tickets selling out at lightning speed.

Tickets for the first-day-first-show have sold out in most theaters. Given the immense excitement among fans, many believe the film is set to break box office records.

The film will begin its global and Indian theatre release on March 27 at 6 AM. Apart from Kerala, major companies are handling the pan-Indian release of the film. In Tamil Nadu, the film will be released by Sree Gokulam Movies. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it will be distributed by Sri Venkateswara Creations, owned by Dil Raju. AA Films, led by Anil Thadani, will bring the film to North India, while Karnataka's distribution partner is Hombale Films, a leading Kannada film production and distribution company.

Empuraan is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. It is the second part of a cinematic series that unfolds its story across three films.

Mohanlal stars as the lead character, Khureshi-Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, in this film, which features a star-studded cast including Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jerome Flynn, Baiju, Saikumar, Andrea Tiwari, Abhimanyu Singh, Saniya Iyappan, Fazil, Sachin Khedekar, Naila Usha, Jiju John, Nandu, Murukan Martin, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Manikuttan, Aneesh G Menon, Shivada, Alex O'Neill, Eric Ebany, Karthikeya Dev, Mihail Novikov, Kishore, Sukant, Behsad Khan, Nikhat Khan, Satyajit Sharma, Nayan Bhatt, Shubhangi, and Jais Jose.

The presence of Jerome Flynn, who gained global fame through Game of Thrones, adds an international appeal to the film's cast.
