Kochi: The Kerala Film Producers’ Association has asked actor Biju Menon to pay ₹15 lakh as compensation to producer Anoop Kannan following a complaint related to the film ‘Nadanna Sambhavam’. A letter has been sent to the actor in this regard.

The action follows a complaint filed by Kannan, who alleged that he suffered a loss of ₹25 lakh after Biju Menon failed to participate in promotional interviews as agreed under contract. The association has also informed the producer in writing about its decision.

According to sources, the amount is to be recovered from the advance payment for Biju Menon’s next film, in line with contractual provisions.

The issue came to public attention after FEFKA chairman B. Unnikrishnan revealed details of the dispute. Ahead of the OTT release of Nadanna Sambhavam, the actor had reportedly agreed to take part in a promotional interview with a television channel. However, the producer alleges that he later withdrew from the commitment, resulting in financial losses.

The Producers’ Association intervened after reviewing the complaint and has now directed partial compensation to be paid.
