The highly anticipated teaser for Salman Khan’s upcoming war epic, Battle of Galwan, has set social media ablaze, but perhaps not for the reasons the filmmakers intended. While the teaser showcases high-octane action and patriotic fervour, a specific sequence has gone viral for its uncanny resemblance to one of the most iconic moments in television history: Jon Snow’s stand in Game of Thrones.

As soon as the footage dropped, eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out a scene featuring Salman Khan that mirrors the famous "Battle of the Bastards" shot, where Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) stands alone, unsheathing his sword as a thundering cavalry charges toward him.

Social Media Erupts: "Copy-Paste?"

The reaction across social platforms was immediate and polarised. Many viewers felt the framing, camera angle, and overall "vibe" of the scene were lifted directly from the HBO hit series.

One user didn't mince words, commenting, "No originality as usual, copying this scene from the Game of Thrones series." Another echoed the sentiment, simply asking, "Copy-paste?"

The comparison to Kit Harington’s character was the dominant theme of the discourse. "That was John Snow pose, copied from GOT," wrote one fan, while another noted the nostalgia the scene triggered, albeit for a different show: "Game of Thrones ki yaad aa gayi" (Reminded me of Game of Thrones).

Fans Poke Fun at the Execution

While some were frustrated by the perceived lack of originality, others took a more humorous approach to the comparison. A viral post on X pointed out the contrast between the gritty, mud-soaked realism of the original Game of Thrones scene and the Bollywood superstar’s signature style.

"Salman Khan doing the ‘battle of bastards’ Jon Snow scene with a log....and his freshly combed hair ...set the scene perfectly," the post read, gaining hundreds of views and interactions within hours.
