During the recent success celebration for the Malayalam film ARM (Ajayante Randam Moshanam), producer Listin Stephen shared how actor Prithviraj Sukumaran and director Anwar Rasheed played a crucial role in helping the film clear its financial obligations.

When ARM faced financial challenges during its release, both Prithviraj and Anwar Rasheed came to the rescue with just a phone call.

Listin revealed that when a large sum of money was needed to settle the film’s financial issues, Prithviraj immediately helped in a single phone call. “Prithviraj helped me with one phone call when I needed crores to clear financial obligations,” Listin said. This gesture of support was instrumental in ensuring the film's release went ahead smoothly.

Listin also expressed gratitude to director Anwar Rasheed, who, when more funds were required, swiftly transferred the money to Listin's account. “When I needed more money later, Anwar Rasheed asked how much and deposited it in my account. I am thankful for their help,” Listin added.

A film born from big ambitions

Listin also shared insights into the film’s production process. Joining the project just 25 days before filming began, he praised the pre-production efforts and vision of the team. Initially titled Ajayante Randam Moshanam, the film was rebranded as ARM to target a pan-Indian audience, which later proved to be a successful decision.

Despite initial struggles with the budget and financial arrangements, Listin expressed pride in how ARM turned out to be a big film. “If you add up the budget of the four films I am currently working on, it still won’t match the budget of this film,” he said.
