Amitabh Bachchan’s hilarious KBC 18 confession: ‘Never got a chance to say I brought my girlfriend’

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan had the audience of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’ in splits after a contestant revealed that he had brought his girlfriend along for the show.

The light-hearted exchange took place during Amitabh’s interaction with professional quizzer Ajay Poonia. While introducing Ajay and discussing his work, the veteran actor jokingly admitted that he had not known that conducting quizzes could be a profession that earns money. 

As the conversation progressed, Amitabh learnt that Ajay creates most of his own quizzes. He then asked about the person who had accompanied the contestant to the show.

Ajay replied, “Sir mere saath meri girlfriend aayi hain, Tarini.”

The revelation prompted Amitabh to make a playful remark about his own life. “84 saal ke ho gaye hain sir, ek baar bhi ghar pe ye bolne ka avsar nahi mila... ki hum apni girlfriend ko laye hain.” (I have turned 84, sir, and not even once did I get the opportunity to tell anyone at home that I had brought my girlfriend)

The exchange added to a series of candid moments Amitabh has shared about his personal life on ‘KBC 18’.

In recent episodes, the actor spoke about his marriage to Jaya Bachchan, recalling how the couple decided to get married without elaborate planning and eventually tied the knot the following day.

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan married in 1973 and have two children, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
