'CULTR has become bigger and better; people have embraced it’

“Culture is like a free space where anybody from any background can come together, irrespective of judgmental ways. Where you love to be a part of something bigger whether it's music, dance, entertainment without worrying about anything,” said Ernakulam Member of Parliament Hibi Eden, summing up the essence of Kappa CULTR.  

Kappa CULTR, the hottest music festival in Kerala, is currently underway at Bolgatty Palace in Kochi, Kerala.

Hibi believes Kochi is the ideal location for the event, not just because of its vibrant cultural history but also due to its unique legacy of inclusivity. 

The venue for Kappa CULTR holds a special place in history. “This is where Dakshayani Velayudhan, the first science graduate from the Dalit community and a member of the Constituent Assembly, hailed from. The MP stressed the growing popularity of Kappa CULTR, saying, “Every year, this event becomes bigger and better. It shows how much people have embraced it—not just from Kochi, but across Kerala.”  

For Hibi, the festival is a perfect example of the unifying power of culture. “I don’t think culture can be stopped; it should only grow. Events like this reflect the spirit of our community,” he said.
