What really happened in Tral? Jayasurya leads a high-stakes NIA investigation in ‘Operation Tral’
Goodwill Entertainments has unveiled the teaser of ‘Operation Tral,’ the upcoming pan-Indian investigative action thriller starring Jayasurya in the lead. Released in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, the teaser offers a tense first look at a dangerous investigation rooted in a real-world incident.
Directed by debutant Ratheesh Vega, the film follows Jayasurya as an NIA officer assigned to investigate a fatal convoy ambush in Tral, Jammu & Kashmir. The teaser keeps the details under wraps, instead building curiosity around the incident, the investigation and the forces working behind the scenes.
With its cuts, tense atmosphere and expansive setting, the teaser introduces a story where every clue could lead the investigation closer to the truth or deeper into danger. Jayasurya appears in an intense, action-oriented avatar as his character navigates the complexities of intelligence operations and national security.

Inspired by true events, ‘Operation Tral’ is set against the backdrop of a convoy attack in Kashmir and explores the investigation that follows. The film brings together elements of action, intelligence and conspiracy while keeping its central mystery at the forefront.
The film has been shot across Kerala, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Kulu, Manali, Mussoorie and Ladakh, reflecting its large-scale production. It is planned as a multilingual release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
‘Operation Tral’ also marks Ratheesh Vega’s directorial debut. Known as a music composer, Vega has taken on several key creative roles in the film, serving as writer, director and composer while also creating its background score.
Jayasurya is joined by Murali Sharma, Vinay Rai, Siddique, Sai Kumar, Nandalal Krishnamoorthy, Rithika Singh, Kavya Shetty and Anson Paul, along with Bollywood actors including Vikram Kochhar, Yash Pal Gera, Mir Sarwar, Chandan Bisht, Hansika Jangid, Vaani Dogra, Jai Thakore, Vijay Trivedi and Manhar Singh Trivia.

Produced by Joby George Thadathil under Goodwill Entertainments, with Sunimol Joby as co-producer, the film features cinematography by Najose and editing by Shafeeque V.B.
