Karan Johar's luxe reality show 'The Traitors': Apoorva’s gusty conviction proves right, Raj Kundra out

Mumbai: Do reality shows really lack reality? Well, that might be debatable, but Karan Johar and drama- that surely goes hand in hand. Produced by BBC Studios India Productions and hosted by Johar, Prime Video brings the Indian adaptation of IDTV’s BAFTA and Emmy award-winning global format, The Traitors, in collaboration with All3Media International. The first three episodes of The Traitors are now streaming exclusively on Prime Video, with new episodes dropping every Thursday at 8 PM.
Cast: The show is set against the majestic backdrop of Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer and features an impressive lineup of stars, including Karan Kundrra, Anshula Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvee Gaurr, Apoorva Mukhija, Jasmine Bhasin, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Uorfi Javed, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Sufi Motiwala.
Rebel Kid is indeed rebelling: Making instant headlines in the show is Apoorva, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, who, in the second episode, set out her points on why Raj Kundra would be the traitor, leading to multiple votes turning against him, thus eliminating him from the show.
Kundra, after exiting, solemnly said, “I came to The Traitors to win hearts & friends. As I take an exit, I feel that my wife is right. She says that I cannot lie to save my life, and it’s not who I am. I am glad that I stayed true to myself. I extend my best wishes to all the participants of The Traitors.”
Intuition is the key: Mind games and backstabbing might take you a little further, but what makes or breaks the fate of the contestants in the game is their intuition. Example? At the very first Circle of Shaq, while others played safe, Apoorva pointed directly at Raj Kundra and declared: “10000% him.” Backed by sharp logic and gutsy conviction, she convinced the table and turned out to be correct.
More details about the show: If you are planning to watch this reality show, groupism, unexpected turns, and conspiracies are not the only things you should be on the lookout for. This mind-boggling format also includes challenging tasks that put the contestants’ abilities to the test under duress.
By far, the show seemed like a more upscale version of "Roadies," with the competitors being assigned both individual and team tasks to complete, alongside finding and eliminating the traitor among themselves.
