Kannappa trailer OUT: Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal helm epic mythological saga

Kozhikode: With Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, the trailer for the upcoming movie Kannappa has been released on Saturday, offering audiences a breathtaking look inside the Shaivite devotee's mythological and spiritual experience. After numerous production delays and controversy, Mukesh Kumar Singh's Kannappa will finally be released in theaters on June 27.
About the trailer: In the two-minute-long trailer, we are introduced to the young Kannappa throws a stone at the Shiva linga, who later becomes an atheist. Following his interaction with Prabhas's character Rudra, the trailer shows him becoming the most ardent devotee of Lord Shiva, and by the end of the trailer, Kannappa finally comes to know of Lord Shiva's strength. The trailer showcases impressive VFX and has plenty of fast-action shots.
Storyline: The story is set to revolve around Kannappa, who never believed in God due to multiple incidents that shaped his life, but how his life changed after coming across the fact that there is a power and energy that exists but cannot be seen.
Cast: Besides Vishnu Manchu and Prabhas, the film also stars Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Madhoo, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Rahul Madhav, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, and Preity Mukhundhan. Several Bollywood and South Indian stars will also be seen in cameos, including Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, Mohanlal as Kirata, Prabhas as Rudra, and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati.
Details: Director Mukesh Kumar Singh, who is famous for his work on mythological television shows such as Mahabharat and Ramayan, is directing the film. The film is being produced by Vishnu Manchu in association with 24 Frames Factory under the sponsorship of AVA Entertainment. To infuse realism into the film’s screenplay, the production team reportedly shot key scenes in Hyderabad, New Zealand, and other breathtaking locations.
Music: The musical team comprises Mani Sharma, Devi Sri Prasad, and Stephen Devassy, who bring together a blend of modern orchestration with traditional profundity, thus strengthening the movie's spiritual message.
As per reports, several Hollywood technicians have been taken on board to ace the film’s cinematography. VFX firms from around the globe will be creating the legendary and divine world of Lord Shiva and Kannappa's voyage.
