Munnar: To make the summer holidays more colourful, a vibrant flower show is being organised in Munnar from May 1 to 10. Hosted by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), the event will take place at the Government Botanical Garden on Devikulam Road.

In addition to the existing collection, hundreds of flowering plants—including exotic varieties—will be brought in for the show. A dedicated selfie point will also be set up for visitors. The garden will be open from 9 am to 9 pm, with stage shows and a musical fountain lighting up the evenings from 6 pm onwards.

A favourite stop for tourists visiting Munnar, the Government Botanical Garden—managed by DTPC—boasts over one lakh ornamental plants from more than 3,000 species, including rare and exotic varieties. The garden also features an orchid house, a cactus collection, a vast children’s play area and a watchtower offering scenic views.

Entry fees are Rs 100 for adults and RS 50 for children.
