Jacob & Co.'s new devout flex is called the Mahadev edition, and no, it's not subtle

Jacob & Co. did the unthinkable, took Mahadev, the OG destroyer-preserver-creator, and put him on a wrist. Meet the Epic X Mahadev Edition, an India-exclusive timepiece so unapologetically maximalist it makes every other ‘spiritual capsule collection’ look like a Diwali card design.

This is the Swiss maison's first-ever tribute to Lord Shiva, and they clearly did not come to play. The 44mm titanium case houses a fully skeletonised dial where Shiva stands flanked by his trishul and damru, with the Om symbol anchoring the whole composition and ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ inscribed at 6 o'clock because subtlety was never the assignment.

The trident, for the mythology-inclined, represents mastery over past, present and future, the damru symbolises the pulse of creation itself. Basically your entire philosophy degree, condensed onto a dial.

Come nightfall, the real drama kicks in. Blue Super-LumiNova lights up Shiva and every surrounding element, turning the watch into a glowing meditation on divine energy because apparently even ancient deities deserve a glow-up.
