30-year-old fitness influencer Dmitry Nuyanzin dies after consuming 10,000 calories daily

Dmitry Nuyanzin, a 30-year-old Russian fitness coach and social media influencer from Orenburg, has tragically died of cardiac arrest while undertaking a high-risk binge-eating challenge. Dmitry was attempting to rapidly gain 25 kilograms (around 55 pounds) by consuming approximately 10,000 calories daily, mostly from junk food such as burgers, small pizzas, mayonnaise-drenched dumplings, and crisps, as part of a promotional stunt for his upcoming weight loss program.
The fitness coach aimed to showcase how quickly weight could be gained and then lost through his program. Over the course of the challenge, he gained around 13 to 15 kilograms in a month, reaching a weight over 100 kilograms. However, the extreme diet took a severe toll on his health. Dmitry reportedly began feeling unwell, cancelled training sessions, and planned to see a doctor, but he suddenly died in his sleep from cardiac arrest.
Dmitry had a strong background in fitness training, having graduated from the Orenburg Olympic Reserve School and the National Fitness University in St Petersburg. For nearly a decade, he worked as a personal trainer for elite athletes in Russia and had amassed a significant following on social media. His sudden death has sent shockwaves through the fitness community, highlighting the dangers of extreme weight gain experiments and binge-eating challenges on heart health.
Friends and followers mourned him as a bright and positive individual, while health experts caution against the cardiovascular risks posed by such drastic changes in body weight.
