Suhasini and her 70 mm smile have always been deeply admired by Malayalis. They don’t even consider their all-time favorite actor as a non-Malayali. Now, Suhasini, an actor cum movie producer, took to social media to share her experience of a recent Bali trip. Suhasini, also known for her stellar performances in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies, has posted the scenic photos with a note “Life cannot be more beautiful!”

Suhasini visited Bali along with her sister to attend the marriage ceremony of her friend’s daughter.

Let’s see some of the main attractions of Bali

Lone island of Indonesia

Bali is a province island of Indonesia. It has Kerala’s one seventh area with a population of over 42 Lakh. Another factor to be mentioned is that Bali is  a Hindu-dominated island in Muslim-dominated Indonesia. As per the 2014 Census, 83.5 percent of the total population of Bali is Hindu, while 87.2 percent of the total population of Indonesia is Muslim.

The picturesque nature, rich with vast and scenic beaches, hills and mountains, boundless green fields and untapped rain forests, and the affluent culture make Bali a heaven for tourists. What more? It is a suitable destination for all kinds of travellers.

If you don’t want to shell out much, then Bali is the right place for you.

Two wheeler is the right option for those who don’t wish to spend much. They can be hired on rent. The Indian license is enough to ride them. It will be better to convert the currency beforehand itself as its conversion will be difficult. Rupee can be converted to US dollars as it can be converted to Bali Rupee at any nook and corner of the island.

The topography of Bali is almost like that of Kerala with similar vegetation. The Bali people are devotees of trees and flowers which is evident in the greenery around. Even in front of small shops, we can see at least a small garden. Floral plant nurseries are a big business there.

Bali is a land of temples and rituals. Old temples with ancient architecture styles can be spotted everywhere. These temples also host various festivals and rituals on a daily basis. Every house on the island will also have small family temples. Tana Lot, a famous ancient temple perched on the top of a rock amid crashing waves of the sea, is a must visit centre of the island. This centuries-old temple is known as one of the icons of Bali. It will remind us of our Kanyakumari.

The seabed can be seen through the crystal clear water in most areas. Majority of the beaches have scuba diving and snorkeling enabling visitors to delve deeper and enjoy the spectacular sight of the sea. The rates for these are also reasonable.

Another major attraction in Bali is Kuta Beach. Some other appealing beaches include Seminyak, Kangu, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and Sanur. There are less crowded beaches also for exploration on the island.

Fuming Volcano

Bali is also a land of volcanoes. Two of them– Mount Batur and Mount Agung– are active as well. Mount Agung is the highest volcano in Bali. It erupted last during the 1963-64 period, killing around 1600 and displacing tens of thousands. A huge rift was formed on Mount Agung following that eruption. Occasionally fumes emanate still from this volcano, prompting evacuation of residents around.
