Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarships: Apply by December 18

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department, The Federal Bank Ltd., 4th Floor, Federal Towers, Marine Drive, Ernakulam; has invited applications for the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarships 2024-25, instituted in memory of Founder of Federal Bank, Late Shri K P Hormis.
Scholarship benefits
Selected students will be reimbursed 100% of tuition fees and other educational expenses as per the college fee structure, subject to a maximum of Rs. 1 Lakh per year throughout the course period. Students are eligible for one PC/ Laptop/ Tablet during their course of study. Maximum reimbursement for PC/Laptop will be Rs. 40,000/-. Maximum reimbursement for Tablet will be Rs. 30,000/-Overall eligibility remains within Rs. 1 Lakh per year.
Eligible courses
The eligible courses for the award of scholarships are MBBS, BE/ BTech, B Sc. Nursing, MBA (Full time), BSc Agriculture / BSc (Hons) Co-operation & Banking.
Eligibility
Applicant (i) should be from the states Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab or Tamil Nadu (ii) should have passed the Qualifying examination which is 12th Standard in the case of Graduation course and Graduation in case of MBA (iii) should have secured admission in the Academic year 2024-25 under merit in one of the specified courses in Government/ Aided/ Government Recognised Self-financing/ Autonomous colleges. Dependent Wards of Martyred Armed Forces personnel and Speech/ Vision/ Hearing impaired students who are admitted in the eligible courses can also apply (iv) Annual family Income of applicants should be less than Rs. 3 Lakh. Income criteria is not applicable for Dependent Wards of Martyred Armed Forces personnel.
Reservation for Physically Challenged Students
One seat in each discipline is reserved for physically challenged students. Medical Certificates are applicable for Physically Challenged students and Speech/ vision/ hearing impaired students and these certificates (showing at least 40 percent disability) shall be issued by a Medical officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved Medical Officer of the Bank. If no application is received under the physically challenged category, the seat will be utilized under the general category.
Application

Applicants are required to upload the following documents while applying: (i) Photo of the student (Passport size, shall be less than 500 kb in .jpeg format) (ii) Admission Letter/ Admission Memo (iii) Course fee structure (iv) Mark sheets of Qualifying Examination (v) Instructions from the University for converting the CGPA/ Grade into percentage (Mandatory for MBA Applicants) (vi) Family income certificate issued by government authorities (vii) Nativity certificate (viii) ID proof & Address proof of Student and Parents (ix) Medical Certificate (applicable for physically challenged students & speech/ hearing/ vision impaired students) (x) In the case of dependant wards of Martyred Armed Forces Personnel who lost their life while serving the nation, evidence showing the same needs to be submitted. All the documents except the passport-size photograph of the student shall be uploaded in pdf format and maximum size shall be 300kb. Applicant may take a printout of application submitted in the portal for future reference.
Selection
Applicants will be shortlisted based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and income criteria stipulated. Shortlisted applicants will be called in for an interview at Zonal Offices/ Designated Offices for the verification of documents and confirming the eligibility for the scholarship. Based on the inputs, Federal Bank’s CSR Dept will review and publish the final list of eligible candidates in the Bank’s website.
