UGC NET 2026 Re-Test Dates: Know When English, Commerce, Sociology Exams Are

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a re-test for three papers of the UGC-NET June 2026 examination following complaints about several errors in the question papers.

The re-test will cover English, Commerce and Sociology. The agency announced the schedule on Sunday, August 16.

English and Commerce re-test on September 9

The English paper will be conducted on September 9 from 9 am to 12 noon in Shift 1.

The Commerce paper will also be held on September 9, but in Shift 2, from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Sociology paper on September 10

The Sociology paper is scheduled for September 10 from 9 am to 12 noon in Shift 1.

The re-test follows complaints regarding errors in the three papers.

UGC-NET June 2026 examination

The NTA conducted the UGC-NET June 2026 examination from June 22 to 30 across 87 subjects.

The examination is held for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for appointment as an assistant professor, and admission to PhD programmes.
