TIFR Hyderabad invites applications for summer research programme: Apply now

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Hyderabad, has invited applications for the Summer Research Programme as part of the Visiting Students Research Programme of TIFR Hyderabad.

The program is intended for the enrichment and broadening of education. It involves a science project through which the students will get trained in research and help them to choose a career in research.

The program will be offered for 8 weeks during May-July 2026.

Students of any stream in their final year of a 3-year B.Sc. program and students in their pre-final or final year of their M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc., 4-Year B.Sc., or B.Tech./B.E. program are eligible to apply.

Students who participated in previous year/s are not eligible to apply.

Application process

Applications can be submitted online at https://www.tifrh.res.in/academics/vsrp/ by 17:00 hrs. on 31 January, 2026.

Selected candidates will be contacted via email by mid-March 2026.

Stipend / Accommodation

Selected students are paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 9000/- and travel reimbursement as per the TIFR rules. Free shared accommodation is provided by the institute.
