Admissions at National Institute of Fashion Technology: Apply by January 17

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), has invited applications for admission to various Bachelor’s and Master’s Programmes offered at the centres of NIFT campuses at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Panchkula, Raebareli, Shillong and Srinagar, for 2022-23.

The Bachelor Programmes offered are (i) Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and (ii) Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech)

Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Programmes is offered in Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication.

Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) is offered in Apparel Production.

Master’s Programmes include Master of Design (M.Des), Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech).

Eligibility: Bachelor Programmes: Applicant should be below 24 years on 1.8.2022. Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/PwD applicants.

For admission to B.Des Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication, applicant should have passed Plus 2 level examination in any stream.

For admission to Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) (B.FTech.), applicant should have passed the +2 level examination with Physics and Mathematics 
or 3 or 4-years diploma in any branch of Engineering

Master Programme: For Master Programmes, there is no age limit. Eligibility is given in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from https://nift.ac.in/admission or from http://niftadmissions.in/

Selection: Selection to all UG/PG Programmes will be based on Written Entrance Examination to be held on 6.2.2022. For B.Des, there will be Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) in Stage I. For those shortlisted there will be situation Test in Stage II. For B.F. Tech there will be GAT. The structure of Entrances for Master’s Program may be seen in the Prospectus. The structure of GAT and CAT and the weightage assigned to each test in the final merit list of the entrance examination etc are given at website.

Application Fee: Application Fee for General/OBC (NCL) applicants is Rs.3000/- and that for SC/ ST/ PWD Category is Rs.1500/-. The fee can be paid online.

Applications can also be submitted from 18.1.2022 to 22.1.2022 with late fee of Rs.5000/- in addition to the applicable application fee.
