NEET 2026 syllabus published: NTA to conduct exam as per NMC guidelines

National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the Syllabus for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Under Graduate [NEET (UG)] 2026.

National Testing Agency has been conducting NEET (UG) since 2019 with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Education, in pursuance of the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. 

National Testing Agency (NTA) has brought to the attention of all stakeholders, especially aspiring candidates, that the syllabus for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [NEET (UG)-2026] has been finalised by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), National Medical Commission (NMC).

As per the Public Notice No. U-14023/19/NEET (UG Exam)/UGMEB, dated 22-12-2025, issued by NMC, the detailed syllabus for NEET (UG)-2026 has been published and is available on the official website of NMC for public reference. The same has been attached as Annexure-I of the Notice dated 8.1.2026 of NTA.

Candidates preparing for NEET (UG)-2026 may refer to this syllabus for their preparation.

The public notice dated 8.1.2026 has been issued by NTA to clarify that NTA will conduct NEET (UG)-2026 strictly based on the syllabus as finalised and notified by NMC.
