National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for Biometric Exception in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Under Graduate [NEET (UG)] 2026 to be conducted on 03.05.2026.

On the day of examination, after completion of frisking process, every candidate has to undergo the mandatory Biometric process before entry of exam room.

If the biometric verification of a candidate cannot be completed due to device hardware failure/poor quality of biometric data/connectivity failure with UIDAI/physical inability to provide biometric data, the candidate will still be permitted to enter the examination room.

However, they must submit a written undertaking as per the format to be provided at the examination centre.

Candidates shall not be disturbed during the exam period from 2 pm to 5 pm (up to 06 pm in case of expected PwD/PwBD candidates) for biometric process.

The related Notice dated 29 April 2026 of NTA is available at https://neet.nta.nic.in/.
