KEAM 2026 Rank List Out: Roshan Raju secures engineering top spot, counselling begins June 30

The Kerala government on Saturday announced the results of the Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical (KEAM) Entrance Examination 2026, paving the way for the state's engineering and pharmacy admission process.
Education Minister Roji M. John released the rank lists and examination statistics at a press conference, revealing that 79,717 candidates qualified in the engineering stream. Of these, 64,759 students who submitted their Plus Two marks were included in the final engineering rank list.
More than 96,000 candidates had appeared for the engineering entrance examination this year.
Roshan Raju from Ernakulam district secured the first rank in the engineering stream with a score of 586.1408 out of 600.
Kannur's Dhyan Tej secured the second rank with an identical score. However, Roshan was awarded the top position under KEAM's tie-breaking rules based on higher marks in Mathematics.
Vismaya K. R. of Thrissur secured the third rank overall and emerged as the highest-ranked female candidate in the engineering category.
In the pharmacy stream, 31,141 candidates appeared for the examination, with 26,943 students making it to the final rank list.
Vinayak Narayan from Thrissur secured the first rank in B.Pharm admissions with 286.257 marks out of 300. Jessy Justin, also in Thrissur, claimed the second rank, while Diya Fathima from Malappuram secured the third position.
The next phase of the admission process will begin shortly. Option registration for the first allotment will open on June 30 and continue until July 4. The first allotment list is scheduled to be published on July 8.
According to the minister, the admission calendar has been designed to ensure that the entire process is completed well ahead of regulatory deadlines. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has fixed August 14 as the deadline for B.Tech admissions, and the state expects to complete allotments and admissions by the end of July or during the first week of August.
The minister also highlighted the smooth conduct of KEAM 2026, noting that the examination was completed with minimal complaints at a time when several national-level entrance examinations have faced scrutiny over issues such as paper leaks, logistical lapses and other controversies.
