KEAM 2025: Special stray vacancy allotment opens for BDS and AYUSH courses

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, has notified and invited options for the special stray vacancy allotment to BDS courses (round 5) and the fourth round stray vacancy allotment to Ayurveda/Homoeo/ Sidha/Unani & Medical Allied courses.
Vacancies in BDS courses that have arisen in various Self Financing Colleges after Stray Vacancy filling allotment will be filled up through Special Stray Vacancy Filling Allotment (Round 5) and Vacancies in Ayurveda/ Homoeo/ Siddha/ Unani and Medical Allied Courses that have arisen in various Government/Self Financing Colleges after the third phase stray allotment will be filled up through Fourth Phase Stray Vacancy filling allotment to be conducted simultaneously by the CEE.
Candidates who are included in the Kerala State Medical Rank List published by the CEE can register fresh options till 1 pm on 15.12.2025. Candidates who have submitted online application for AYUSH courses to CEE as per notification dated 11.12.2025 can also register options. However only those eligible candidates who are included in the revised Kerala State Merit List to be published will be considered for allotment to AYUSH courses.
Candidates, can register options at www.cee.kerala.gov.in by clicking the menu ‘Option Registration’ available in the Home page. Since the probable vacancies that may arise during the course of the vacancy filling allotment have to be filled, candidates may give options to all colleges and courses in which they wish to study for the course. Un-allotted category seats still existing will be converted during this phase as per existing prospectus conditions. Candidates should give options only to the courses and colleges where they want to study if they get an allotment.
Option registration facility will be available during this phase for Century Dental College, but the allotment to the college will be subject to approval from Government. The annual fee (provisional) for the above college in General Category is Rs. 3,30,940/- and that for NRI Category, Rs. 6,00,000/-. As the fees structure for the College for the academic year 2025-26 has not yet been fixed, candidates who get allotment should pay the provisional fee. If the fee to be fixed by the ASC/Govt./Hon’ble Court Order for the academic year 2025-26 is higher than that of the provisionally paid fee, candidates are liable to pay the balance fee. The allotment to the vacant seats of Azeezia Dental College is subject to final outcome of WP (C) 45634/25 of Hon'ble High court of Kerala.
Registration Fee: Those candidates who wish to register options have to pay registration fee to the CEE. Those who register options only to courses in Govt colleges have to pay an amount of Rs. 5,000/-. Those who want to register options to courses in both Govt. and Self Financing colleges have to pay Rs. 15,000/- as Registration fee. Candidates under SC/ST/OEC category and other categories mentioned in the Notification should pay Rs. 5,000/-. However, if they give options in Minority/NRI/Management quota seats in Self-financing Colleges they will have to remit the Registration Fee as specified in the Notification. If such candidates are allotted under NRI/ Minority/ Management quota seats, they will have to remit the fee as shown in the allotment memo and they will not be eligible for any fee concession. In case of candidates who are admitted through previous allotments conducted by the CEE and vacated the seat within the date prescribed, they need not pay the registration fee if the fee already paid to the CEE is greater than or equal to the registration fee. If the fee paid to CEE by such students is less than the registration fee, they will have to pay the balance registration fee. The registration fee applicable to a candidate will be fixed as per the details entered by the candidate in the registration page at www.cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates can register options only after paying the applicable Registration fee to CEE. The Registration fee once paid will not be changed at any instance. Thus candidates should be very careful, while giving details to fix the Registration fee.
The registration fee of those candidates, who get an allotment in Government Dental Colleges through Special Stray Vacancy allotment, will be carried over to Tuition Fee of the course allotted and the registration fee of those candidates who do not get any allotment will be refunded. The registration fee of these candidates, who get an allotment in Private Self-financing dental colleges will be refunded to candidates after closing date of admission, provided the candidate has taken admission. The registration fee of those candidates who get an allotment in AYUSH & Medical Allied courses will be carried over to Tuition Fee and the registration fee of those candidates who do not get any allotment will be refunded. The registration fee of those candidates who do not join within the stipulated time after getting an allotment and of those candidates who quit seats after taking admission, will be considered as penalty and will not be refunded. Such students will also be penalized as per KEAM Prospectus clause 12.2.4. Candidates who file unnecessary options, but do not take admission on allotment to the Course/College during this phase, resulting in Government seats and Management seats allotted by the CEE to lapse, will be penalized.
Provisional Allotment will be published on 15.12.2025 and final allotment on 16.12.2025. Those getting an allotment have to join the allotted colleges after paying the fees/balance fee (if applicable) as shown in the allotment memo during 17.12.2025 and 4 pm on 19.12.2025.
