CUSAT Admissions 2026 open: Apply for BTech, integrated, PG, PhD courses

The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi, has opened applications for admission to its undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated and doctoral programmes for the academic year 2026–27.
Admissions are open across a wide range of disciplines for candidates who have completed Class 12, diploma, graduation or postgraduation, depending on the programme.
For Class 12 qualified candidates, CUSAT is offering regular BTech programmes in disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship Building, Polymer Science and Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, and Safety and Fire Engineering.
The university is also offering five-year integrated programmes, including Integrated MSc courses in Photonics, Computer Science (AI and Data Science), Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Environmental Science and Technology, and Econometrics and Data Science. Other integrated options include Integrated MA in Hindi, Integrated MCA, and Integrated Law programmes such as BBA LLB (H), BCom LLB (H) and BSc LLB (H) (Computer Science). A four-year BVoc (Honours) programme in Data Science and Analytics is also available.
Candidates holding a three-year engineering diploma can apply for lateral entry to the third semester of BTech programmes or for part-time BTech courses in select disciplines.
For graduates, CUSAT offers postgraduate programmes including MA, MSc, MTech, MCA, MBA (Full-Time, Evening and Executive), LLM, MS (IPR) and vocational programmes. The university also offers PhD programmes, postdoctoral fellowships (PDF) and diploma, certificate and short-term online courses, along with programmes under international collaborations.
CUSAT conducts its academic programmes across three campuses — the Main Campus at Thrikkakara, the Kuttanad Campus (CUCEK) in Alappuzha district, and the Lakeside Campus in Kochi.
Admissions to most UG and PG programmes are through the CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT). MBA admissions require valid scores in CMAT, KMAT (Kerala) or CAT (IIM), while MTech admissions are based on GATE scores. Non-GATE MTech candidates may have to appear for a Departmental Admission Test (DAT). Admission to MTech Marine Biotechnology requires qualification in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Biotechnology (GAT-B).
In postgraduate programmes (except MBA), 10 per cent supernumerary seats are reserved for candidates admitted through CUET-PG conducted by the National Testing Agency.
Online registration for CAT-2026 for UG and PG programmes is open till March 5, 2026. MBA applications can be submitted till April 30, 2026, while MTech registrations will close on April 16, 2026. The CUSAT CAT examination will be conducted on May 9, 10 and 11, 2026.
