Important Update | CBSE postpones Class 12 exams in several Middle East countries

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed Class 12 board examinations scheduled between March 12 and March 16 in several Middle Eastern countries due to the escalating Iran–Israel conflict, officials said on Monday.
According to CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, the decision was taken after reviewing the prevailing situation and considering the uncertainty and stress faced by students in the region.
The postponement applies to exams in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Revised examination dates will be announced later, while the situation will be reviewed again on March 14 to determine whether further exams need to be rescheduled.
CBSE had earlier postponed exams scheduled for March 2, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11 in the region. It also cancelled Class 10 examinations until March 11, stating that the method for declaring results would be announced separately.
The disruption comes amid escalating hostilities following military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran on February 28, which killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
