IIT Hyderabad Summer Internship 2025: 250 slots available, 100 reserved for girls, apply now
Indian Institute of technology (IIT), Hyderabad has invited applications for Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure (SURE) Internships 2025.
A total of 250 interns will be selected of which 100 slots are exclusive for girls only.
SURE interns will be mentored by the following departments: Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Electrical Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Management, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Climate Change, Greenko School of Sustainability, Heritage Science and Technology, Center for Interdisciplinary program, Energy Science and Technology, Physics
Duration: 1-2 months between May and July (Tentative: 15.05.2025 to 14.07.2025). One must attend for minimum of one month and maximum of two months only. Internship period may be chosen as one month or one and a half month or complete two months duration. Interns can choose any one option for the period of internship.
Amount of Fellowship will be Rs. 15,000/- for 2 months or Rs. 10,000 for one-and-a-half months or Rs. 7,500/- for one month. No other amount/benefit shall be applicable.
Accommodation and Food: Hostel accommodation provided in IITH student hostels. Mess charges are to be borne by the interns.
Eligibility: Only non-IIT Hyderabad students are eligible to apply. Applicant should be a full-time/regular student at the time of application and till the completion of the internship. Applicant should be a first year MSc (Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Biology) or MA first Year or the 2nd/3rd year B.Tech./B.Des./B.Arch/BA (any branch) or 3rd/4th year Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech. program student. Applicants should be among the top 20% based on CGPA/% score in all the previous years in their discipline in the College/ Institution/University (to be certified by the Head of the Institute/Principal). The applicant should be able to work full time (minimum one month) for the Internship. Part-time/online internship is not allowed.
Application Submission: Applications must be submitted through the Program link at https://www.iith.ac.in/ (IITH News) latest by 05.03.2025.
Selection Procedure: There will be a Preliminary screening of applications followed by an interview (online mode) department/mentor faculty wise. Selection is based on academic performance, participation/recognition in competitions such as Olympiads, National Talent Search Exams, and performance in the interview.
Results will be declared at the website on 10.04.2025 (Tentative).
