Apprenticeship training at HVF for Engineering and Non Engineering Graduates

Heavy Vehicles Factory (Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence), Avadi, Chennai in coordination with Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region), Chennai - 113, has invited application from eligible Graduate & Diploma holders in Engineering and Non Engineering Graduates, for undergoing one-year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

Applicants should have passed during 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024 and should be hailing from Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana or Puducherry. 

Categories and eligibility for each are as follows: 

Category I Graduate Apprentices (Engineering / Technology): Eligible disciplines are Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering. No of Training Places is 110. Monthly Stipend (INR) will be Rs.9000/-

Category II Diploma (Technician) (Engineering / Technology): Eligible disciplines are Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering. No of Training Places is 110. Monthly Stipend (INR) will be Rs.8000/-

Category III Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: BA., / B.Sc., / B.Com., / BBA / BCA etc. No of Training Places is 100. Monthly Stipend (INR) will be Rs.9000/-

Minimum Educational Qualifications: (i) Graduate Apprentices: A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) or Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above (ii) Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: A Diploma in Engineering or technology (Full time) (iii) Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: A Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities such as BA/B.Sc.,/B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA etc., (Regular, Full time).

Age: Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.

Selection Procedure: Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) will prepare a shortlist from the online application data. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. The list of shortlisted candidates shall be published at http://boat-srp.com/ under Organized Events & News Section in the home page. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai.

Last date for enrolling in the NATS portal in order to apply to ‘Heavy Vehicles Factory’ is 19.08.2024.

Those who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are not eligible to apply. 

List of Shortlisted applicants will be announced on 26.08.2024. 

Certificates verification for shortlisted candidates will be on 09.09.2024 and 11.09.2024 (Tentative)
