Third phase allotment for PG Medical Courses Kerala 2024

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has opened the facility for Option Registration for the third phase allotment to PG Medical Courses in Kerala 2024. The official website for registration is www.cee.kerala.gov.in, where details of vacant seats are also published.
Candidates must register their options afresh for the third phase allotment. Options registered in previous phases will not be considered. Candidates can register for any seats they wish to join, regardless of the vacancy status, as any vacancies that may arise during the counseling will be filled based on these options. Category conversions of seats will also take place, and candidates are advised to consider probable vacancies due to these conversions. The additional seats at KMCT Medical College, Kozhikode, and PK Das Medical College, Palakkad, have also been included for allotment in this phase.
Eligibility criteria
Eligible candidates who are included in the Kerala State Merit List (published on 16.11.2024) and who have applied for PG Medical courses as per notifications dated 05.01.2025 and 07.01.2025 can register their options online at www.cee.kerala.gov.in by 3:00 pm on 13.01.2025. Freshly registered candidates will be considered for allotment only if they are found eligible after scrutiny of their application and supporting documents for various reservations.
In-service candidates, if any, can register their options for the In-Service Quota only after confirming their eligibility with the Director of Medical Education. The allotment for these candidates will depend on the revised State Specific Rank List from NBEMS.
Registration fee
Candidates who did not register in Phase I, or who were allotted seats in Phase II but did not take admission, will have to pay the option registration fee for fresh registration in Phase III. Those who vacated their joined seats will also need to pay the registration fee again. Detailed information regarding the registration fee is available on the official website.
Candidates can vacate their allotted seats until 3:00 pm on 13.01.2025 without incurring any penalty. If a seat is vacated after this deadline, the candidate will not be eligible for participation in the third phase allotment or any further rounds. In such cases, the registered options will be canceled, and penalties will be imposed according to the Prospectus.
Allotment details
The third-phase allotment results will be published on 15.01.2025. Candidates who are allotted seats must report to the allotted college, submit required documents, and pay the fee between 16.01.2025 and 4:00 pm on 18.01.2025.
If a candidate does not join the allotted course, the option registration fee will be forfeited, and the candidate will not be eligible for further allotments. The registration fee will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded. The fee will be refunded to eligible candidates after the completion of counseling.
Candidates who have registered afresh in Phase III and are not allotted a seat are eligible to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round. However, candidates allotted seats in Phase III cannot participate in the Stray Vacancy Round, regardless of their admission status. Candidates included in the list of those allotted seats after the third round of All India Quota (AIQ) allotment will not be considered for the third phase allotment.
Candidates who are allotted a seat in the third phase of state counseling will not be eligible to participate in any further rounds of counseling. A list of candidates admitted by the last date of admission in Phase III will be forwarded to the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) as candidates ineligible for further rounds.
Stray vacancy allotment
After the third phase allotment, any remaining vacancies will be filled through the Stray Vacancy Allotment. Fresh option registration will be required for this phase. The vacancies due to non-allotment or non-joining in Phase III will be published. If vacancies persist even after the initial Stray Vacancy Allotment, additional rounds may be conducted based on the options registered.
Candidates who vacate a seat after the Stray Vacancy Allotment process will be liable for liquidated damages as per Clause 10.1.19 (4) of the Prospectus. For detailed instructions and updates, candidates are advised to refer to the 'Prospectus for Admission to PG Medical Courses 2024' available on the official website.
