NLU Delhi invites applications for UG, PG law admissions through AILET 2026: Apply now

National Law University Delhi, Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi, has invited applications for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs for the academic year 2026-27.

Selection to the programs will be based on merit in the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026.

Programs and eligibility for admission are as follows

(a) Undergraduate Programme B.A.LL.B.(Hons.): Applicant should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination with 45% marks (42% in the case of OBC and 40% for SC/ST). Those appearing for the 12th standard annual examination in 2026 are eligible to apply.

Total Seats: 110+10 (110 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit). Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET but should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.

(b) Postgraduate Programme LL.M. (One Year) Non-Residential Programme: Applicant should hold LL.B. or an equivalent law degree with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities). Those appearing for the final year LL.B. annual examination in 2026 are eligible to apply.

Total Seats: 70+10 (70 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit). Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET. There is one additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri migrants. Foreign Nationals/Kashmiri Migrants must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% for reserved categories such as SC/ST/Persons with Disability) to be eligible for these seats.

Test City: AILET-2026 will be conducted from 2 pm to 4 pm on December 14, 2025 (Sunday), at the following cities: Ahmedabad, Asansol, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gorakhpur, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior, Jamshedpur, Haldwani, Hisar, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. Applicants have to select three centres in order of priority while submitting the application. In case the number of the candidates at any test city is less than 100, the test centre will not be created in that city and the candidate will be allotted a test city as per their 2nd/3rd preference of test city.

Application: Application can be submitted online at https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/ latest by November 10, 2025 (Monday).

Application Fee is Rs. 3,000/- (Rs. 1,000/- for SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disabilities (PwD)). SC/ST and women applicants who are Below Poverty Line (BPL) are exempted from payment of the application fee. The application fee can be paid online.

The last date for submission of the online application form is April 30, 2026, for applications under the Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO categories.

The university will also conduct the All-India Entrance Test (AIET) for the following programmes on May 3, 2026: Postgraduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP)-Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Laws (LL.M.) (All 2 years); Joint Master’s/LL.M. Programme in Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Management- One Year; Ph.D. Programme.

The detailed admission notification for the AIET 2026 will be issued in January 2026. The online application forms for these programmes will be available at https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in w.e.f. January 7, 2026.
