NIS Patiala invites applications for MSc and PG Diplomas in sports disciplines: Apply now

Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Sports Authority of India (SAI), 40, Patiala, Punjab -147001; has notified the admission to various Academic Courses for the session 2025-26. 

The courses are (i) M.Sc. Sports Coaching (ii) Diploma in Sports Coaching (iii) Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Performance Analysis (iv) Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Psychology (v) Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition (vi) Post Graduate Diploma in Exercise Physiology (vii) Post Graduate Diploma in Strength and Conditioning

M.Sc. Sports Coaching (Two-Years Course): Program is offered in Athletics, Basketball, Football, Gymnastic, Hockey, Swimming, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling. 

Eligibility: Applicant should hold Graduate Degree from any recognized Indian/Foreign University with Diploma in Sports Coaching from SAl NS NIS, Patiala or its other academic Centers/ Diploma in Sports Coaching from any recognized University/Institute /4 years (Eight Semester) B.Sc. (Sports Coaching) from any recognized University OR PG Diploma in Sports Coaching awarded from any recognized state sports University with minimum 55% marks.

Age should not be more than 45 years, on the date of commencement of the course. Upper age limit can be relaxed up to three years in case of deserving candidates.

Post Graduate Diploma Courses of one-year duration are offered in (i) Strength and Conditioning (ii) Sports Performance Analysis (iii) Sports Psychology (iv) Sports Nutrition (v) Exercise Physiology 

Eligibility: (i) Strength and Conditioning- Graduate with 50% marks from a recognized University (ii) Sports Performance Analysis - Graduate with 50% marks from a recognized University (iii) Sports Psychology: Applicant must possess any one of the following qualifications with at least 50% marks in aggregate- Bachelor's Degree with Psychology as core subject or Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science/Physical Education/Physical Education and Sports/Medical and Allied Health Sciences/in any stream with Diploma in Sports Coaching. (iv) Sports Nutrition- Must Possess any of the following qualifications with at least 50% marks in aggregate - Bachelor's degree with nutrition as a core subject or Bachelor's degree in Life sciences/Medical and allied health sciences/Sports Science/Physical education/Physical education and Sports/in any stream with Diploma in Sports Coaching (v) Exercise Physiology- Must possess any one of the following qualifications with at least 50% marks in aggregate - Bachelor's degree in Physical Education/Physical Education & Sports/Human Physiology/Physiology/Exercise Physiology/Life Sciences/Sports Sciences/Sports Physiology/Sports Nutrition & Physiology/Strength & Conditioning/Para-Medical Sciences/Medical Sciences.
