Junior Research Fellow at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, an Institute of National Importance established under the Act of Parliament; Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India; Mubarakpur Mukhetia More, Bahadurpur, Harbansh Ganj Post, Jais, Amethi Uttar Pradesh - 229 304, has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB Sponsored Project.
The project is titled ‘Development of Synthetic Polymer based Reservoir Drilling and Completion Fluid for High-Pressure and High-Temperature wells: Fluid Invasion Modeling and Mitigation’, sanctioned for 03 years’ duration.
Essential qualification: Applicant should hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university in Petroleum Engineering/ Chemical Engineering /Mechanical Engineering /Petrochemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks or equivalent or should hold M.Sc. degree in Chemistry with minimum 65% marks from a recognized university or equivalent. Applicants should have a qualified GATE/NET score of any year.
Knowledge of drilling fluid, polymer synthesis, and material characterization will be an advantage.
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 35 years as on 31st January 2024. Relaxation in the minimum qualifying percentage of marks and age limit will be as per Government of India guidelines for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged categories.
The project duration is of three years. The initial offer will be for a period of 12 months. Depending on the performance of the candidate, further extensions can be given from time to time till the end of the project. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Stipend will be Rs. 31,000/- per month for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35,000/- per month for third year.
The selected candidate may be considered for admission to the Institute’s PhD program based on satisfactory performance through a separate process as per the Institute norms. The candidate enrolled in the PhD program of the respective department will get a fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- per month.
