IIST invites PG admissions under sponsored category for central govt employees
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), a Deemed-to-be University in Thiruvananthapuram, invites applications for its two-year full-time PG programs under the Sponsored category for Central Government employees for the academic year 2025-26.
Eligibility and Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech./Master of Science (as applicable to the program) with:
- 60% marks or CGPA 6.50 (General/OBC)
- 55% marks or CGPA 6.00 (SC/ST/PD)
- A minimum of three years of work experience in the relevant field is required.
- The maximum age limit is 45 years (50 years for women candidates) as of 17 February 2025.

PG programs are available in the following departments:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Avionics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Earth and Space Sciences

Application Process
- Apply online at IIST Admission Portal before 17 February 2025 (23:59 hrs).
- Pay an application fee of ₹700/- online.
- Upload a three-page note on work experience and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by 21 February 2025.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a test and/or interview.
Candidates maintaining a CGPA of 7.00 or above throughout the program may register for a Ph.D. during their second-year project period, subject to vacancies.
