ICMR- National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) Hyderabad, Telangana - 500 007, has invited applications for the NIN-Common Entrance Test [N-CET] 2025 for admission to the 2-year Post-Graduate Programs, M.Sc. (Applied Nutrition) & M.Sc. (Sports Nutrition) for the academic batch 2025-27.

The institution is affiliated to the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), an Institute of National Importance, CSIR- Human Resource Development Centre, (CSIR-HRDC) Campus Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh- 201 002 (https://acsir.res.in).

M.Sc. (Applied Nutrition) Programme aims to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the various applications of nutritional sciences in public health and clinical settings to address nutritional deficiencies.

The main objective of the M.Sc. (Sports Nutrition) Programme is to develop in-depth knowledge and practical skill sets to ensure planning and implementation of sport-specific nutritional support to Indian athletes/sports persons.

Eligibility: Applicant should have (i) B.Sc with any one of the following subjects as a major discipline in all the 3/4 years or 6/8 Semesters- Applied Nutrition, Applied Nutrition & Public Health, Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, Exercise Physiology & Nutrition, Food & Nutrition, Food Science & Quality Control, Home Science, Human Nutrition, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Nutrition & Dietetics, Nursing, Sports & Exercise Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Sports Science or (ii) MBBS or (iii) BDS

Applicants should have 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (50% aggregate for OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates).

Those appearing for the final year/SEM exam are also eligible for N-CET. However, they should submit all the original certificates of the qualifying exams at the time of counseling for admission.

Pattern of the entrance test: The Online Entrance Test (Computer Based Test) to be held on 6th July, 2025 (Sunday) will be of 90 minutes’ duration and will have multiple choice questions (MCQs) from (i) Nutrition (50 questions) (ii) Biochemistry (20) (iii) Physiology (20) (iv) General Knowledge and Aptitude (10) with each question carrying 1 mark. Negative marks are applicable. 1/3rd (0.33) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. A merit list shall be prepared based on marks obtained in the Entrance Test.
