Nothing Phone 4a, 4a Pro India launch tipped for March 5: What we know so far

Nothing is gearing up to introduce its next mid-range smartphones under the Nothing Phone (4a) lineup, with teasers already surfacing online. Industry chatter indicates that the new models could be unveiled as early as next month.

The London-headquartered brand is not planning a flagship release this year, but CEO Carl Pei has indicated that the forthcoming mid-range devices will deliver meaningful upgrades over the previous Phone (3a) series. Recent leaks detailing hardware, storage configurations and pricing have offered further insight into what buyers might expect.

Nothing Phone 4a Pro: Expected specifications

The Nothing Phone 4a Pro is tipped to feature a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate that may reach up to 144Hz. It is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, coupled with as much as 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the handset is expected to run Nothing OS 4 based on Android 16.

Battery capacity is said to stand at 5,080mAh, with support for fast charging. In the camera department, the Pro model could include a triple 50-megapixel rear camera system, accompanied by a 50-megapixel front-facing sensor for selfies and video calls.

Nothing Phone 4a: Expected specifications

The standard Nothing Phone 4a is likely to carry the same 6.82-inch display, though with a 120Hz refresh rate instead of 144Hz. Reports suggest it may be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Interestingly, the regular model could pack a larger 5,500mAh battery and support 80W fast charging. It is expected to ship with Nothing OS based on Android 15. For photography, leaks point to a 64-megapixel main sensor, supported by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. A 32-megapixel front camera is also anticipated.

Nothing Phone 4a series: Storage options and design

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claims both the Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro will be offered in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations. While Nothing has confirmed the use of UFS 3.1 storage, it remains uncertain whether both variants will benefit from the faster standard.

As for design, the company is expected to retain its signature transparent aesthetic, possibly introducing minor refinements rather than a complete overhaul. While official colour details are still under wraps, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claims the Nothing Phone 4a will be offered in Black and White finishes. The Nothing Phone 4a Pro, on the other hand, is said to arrive in Black and Silver colour options.
