Nothing has confirmed that its next flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, will launch in July 2025. After unveiling the Phone 2 in 2023, the company is now preparing to introduce what could be its most advanced model yet. In 2024, the brand broadened its portfolio with the Phone (2a) range and, more recently, launched the Phone 3a series globally. Company founder Carl Pei had earlier hinted that the new device is being positioned as a direct competitor to high-end smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S25, OnePlus 13, and Xiaomi 15 series. Ahead of the launch, Nothing has also announced a global ‘Create Your Phone’ contest, giving fans and creators a chance to win the Nothing Phone (3).

Expected Nothing Phone 3 price in India

The upcoming smartphone is expected to come equipped with AI-powered features and a configuration offering 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, similar to the previous model. While the global price is expected to be around 800 GBP (approximately ₹90,500), the Indian pricing is likely to be lower. For context, the Nothing Phone 2 with identical specifications was launched in India at ₹49,999.

Design overhaul and display features

Leaked renders and reports suggest that the Nothing Phone 3 will receive a fresh design update, which includes a circular camera module resembling that of the OnePlus 12. The rear panel will continue to feature the brand’s signature Glyph interface, which visually notifies users about calls, texts, and other alerts. The phone is also expected to sport a 6.77-inch AMOLED LTPO display, featuring a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits.

High-performance hardware and AI enhancements

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone 3 is likely to be powered by flagship-grade chipsets such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Dimensity 9400+. This marks a notable upgrade from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 that powered the Phone (2). The company has also hinted at software improvements, including the introduction of new AI-based tools and a redesigned Essential Hub interface.

Camera specifications

Photography will be a major highlight of the Nothing Phone 3. The rear camera setup is expected to include three 50MP sensors, offering high clarity, flexibility, and detail across different shooting scenarios. On the front, users can look forward to a 32MP camera that promises sharp selfies and clear video calls, making the device appealing to content creators and everyday users alike.

Nothing launches ‘Create Your Phone’ contest ahead of Phone (3) launch

Nothing has kicked off a global design contest inviting fans and creators to share their vision of the upcoming Phone (3), which is set to launch in July 2025. Titled ‘Create Your Phone’, the competition encourages participants to submit unique concept designs—whether digitally drawn, 3D rendered, hand-sketched, or even AI-generated—through the Nothing Community website. To enter, users must like the official contest post and comment with their concept image. The winner will receive a brand-new Nothing Phone (3).

Entries close at 6:00 PM BST on June 30, 2025, after which a winner will be selected randomly from eligible submissions using a digital tool. The contest is open to individuals aged 18 and above worldwide, except those in restricted regions such as North Korea, Syria, Iran, Cuba, and Crimea. The selected winner will be notified via private message on the platform and must respond within 48 hours to claim the prize. Shipping will be subject to local regulations, and any taxes or additional charges will be the winner’s responsibility.
