Nothing OS 4.0 launch date confirmed! Dual pop-ups, 'Stretch' camera, and all major features revealed

New Delhi: The wait is nearly over for Nothing fans. The tech brand has officially confirmed that the rollout of its highly anticipated Nothing OS 4.0, dubbed "Flow" and based on Android 16, will begin tomorrow, Friday, November 21, 2025.
After months of intensive open beta testing, the company is finally ready to reveal the full suite of features intended to deliver a smoother, more intuitive experience across its smartphone lineup, starting with the Nothing Phone (3).
Features of Nothing OS 4.0
Nothing OS 4.0 is branded as the most significant update to the company's minimalist software. Key enhancements centre on innovative multitasking, design refinements, and privacy-focused features:
- Dual Pop-up View: The most innovative feature is a multitasking upgrade that allows users to run two apps simultaneously in resizable pop-up windows. This enables seamless, uninterrupted flow for tasks like referencing a document while composing an email or using a chat app while watching a video.
- Extra Dark Mode: This feature extends Nothing OS’s signature dark aesthetic into an even deeper look. Designed to reduce eye strain during extended use and improve battery life on OLED screens.
- Stretch Camera Preset: A creative photography tool developed in collaboration with renowned photographer Jordan Hemingway. This preset will be integrated into the Camera app to enhance photos with a distinctive, cinematic look, featuring deeper shadows and extended highlights.
- Lock Glimpse: A dynamic lock screen feature that delivers curated wallpapers and potentially timely updates across nine categories. Nothing has stressed that Lock Glimpse will be disabled by default and assures users that no personal data is collected even if the feature is enabled.
- System Optimisation: The update brings system-level app optimisation intended to accelerate startup times and boost overall system responsiveness and smoothness across compatible devices.
While the rollout begins on November 21, it is expected to happen in phases, with the flagship Nothing Phone (3) receiving the update first.
