iQOO 15R surfaces on Bluetooth SIG, points to debut as rebranded Z11 Turbo

iQOO appears to be preparing a new addition to its flagship lineup, with signs pointing to the arrival of the iQOO 15R. The brand launched the iQOO 15 in November as a follow-up to the iQOO 13, and recent certification activity suggests a more affordable variant could soon join the series. The appearance of the iQOO 15R on a regulatory platform indicates that its official debut may not be far off.
Manufacturers often introduce “R” or “Lite” models to offer pared-down versions of their top-end phones, and the same strategy seems to be in play here. Early speculation hints that the iQOO 15R could be a renamed version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, aimed at delivering strong hardware at a comparatively lower price.
iQOO 15R surfaces on Bluetooth SIG
A handset carrying the model number I2508 has mad its way to Bluetooth SIG. The certification entry clearly identifies the handset as the iQOO 15R. This marks the first public reference to the device under this name. Such certifications usually surface close to launch, suggesting the phone has entered the final stages before announcement.
While the Bluetooth listing does not disclose hardware specifications or design details, the same model number has earlier appeared on the IMEI database under the name iQOO Neo 11. This points to iQOO’s practice of using different branding across regions.
Possible link to iQOO Z11 Turbo
Reports indicate that the iQOO 15R may be the global version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which is expected to debut in China in the near future. The device is rumoured to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the same processor used in the OnePlus Ace for China and the global OnePlus 15R.
Internally known as “The Battle Spirit”, the phone is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch display and a 200-megapixel primary rear camera. Other expected highlights include a metal frame, glass back, curved edges, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Impact on iQOO’s portfolio
If these details hold true, the iQOO 15R could position itself as a performance-focused option offering near-flagship hardware at a more accessible price. By adapting the iQOO Z11 Turbo for markets outside China, iQOO may be aiming to strengthen its presence in the premium mid-range segment. Pricing and launch timelines remain unconfirmed, but the latest certification sighting suggests more information should emerge soon.
