Google had a packed launch event on Wednesday evening, unveiling not only its new Pixel 10 smartphones but also expanding its wearable and audio portfolio in India. The company has officially introduced the Pixel Watch 4, available in two sizes, alongside the more affordable Pixel Buds 2a.

Pixel Watch 4: Familiar design with upgrades

The Pixel Watch 4 retains the design language of its predecessor, the Pixel Watch 3, but introduces subtle refinements. It is offered in 41mm and 45mm variants, both featuring slimmer bezels—16 per cent thinner than before—which give the display a more immersive appearance without altering the overall dimensions.

Google claims the watch’s screen is now 50 per cent brighter, capable of reaching up to 3000 nits at peak brightness, ensuring better visibility under the harsh Indian sun.

Battery performance has also been optimised, with faster charging and slightly improved longevity compared to the previous model. The 41mm version houses a 325mAh battery, while the 45mm model gets a 455mAh unit.

On the inside, the Pixel Watch 4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor, paired with a Cortex-M55 co-processor, and runs on Wear OS 6.0. Both variants are protected by Custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Google has also infused the Pixel Watch 4 with new AI-powered features driven by its Gemini language models, enhancing user experience with smarter functionality.

Pricing for the Pixel Watch 4 in India starts at ₹39,900 for the 41mm variant and ₹43,900 for the 45mm variant. For now, only Wi-Fi models will be available.

The Pixel Watch 4 is available in two sizes: the 41mm variant features a diameter of 41mm, a height of 12.3mm, and weighs 31g without the band, while the 45mm variant measures 45mm in diameter, 12.3mm in height, and weighs 36.7g without the band.

The 41mm model comes in four colour combinations: Polished Silver Aluminium case with Iris Active Band, Polished Silver Aluminium case with Porcelain Active Band, Champagne Gold Aluminium case with Lemongrass Active Band, and Matte Black Aluminium case with Obsidian Active Band.

The 45mm variant is offered in Satin Moonstone Aluminium case with Moonstone Active Band, Polished Silver Aluminium case with Porcelain Active Band, and Matte Black Aluminium case with Obsidian Active Band.

Pixel Buds 2a: Affordable yet capable

Alongside the smartwatch, Google launched the Pixel Buds 2a, which aim to deliver premium features at a more accessible price point of ₹12,999. Designed to resemble the Pixel Buds Pro 2, these earbuds are currently the most affordable in Google’s Indian lineup.

Despite the lower price tag, the Pixel Buds 2a pack a strong feature set. Each earbud carries 11mm dynamic drivers, a Tensor A1 chip, and three microphones to power active noise cancellation. They are also equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 with super wideband, ensuring stable connectivity, and support touch controls on each bud.

With an IP54 rating, the earbuds can withstand sweat and light splashes, making them suitable for workouts. The Pixel Buds 2a will be available in Iris and Hazel colour options.
