Sharing photos, videos and documents between Android and iPhone users is about to get much easier. Google on Thursday announced that Quick Share will now work with Apple’s AirDrop, enabling smooth file transfers across the two platforms.

The feature is rolling out first to the Pixel 10 family, with broader Android support planned in the coming months.

Google said the new interoperability was built with “security at its core,” adding that the system was evaluated by independent security experts. The move follows ongoing efforts to improve cross-platform compatibility, including support for RCS messaging and alerts for unknown Bluetooth trackers.

“Sharing should just work,” the company said, noting that many users have long demanded a simpler way to exchange files across devices.

Google building safe, trusted AI to protect vulnerable users in India

Google also announced new initiatives aimed at ensuring safe and trusted AI development in India, ahead of the upcoming AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

The company said its latest efforts focus on protecting vulnerable users from sophisticated online scams, boosting enterprise cybersecurity, and developing inclusive AI models tailored for India and the Global South.

The India-AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for February 19–20 in New Delhi, will be the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South. It was announced earlier this year by India at the France AI Action Summit.
