Sony has officially announced a new PlayStation State of Play livestream event scheduled for September 3, 2025. This special broadcast will be dedicated exclusively to IO Interactive’s upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light.

The event, starting at 11:30 PM IST, will feature over 30 minutes of gameplay, including a playthrough of Bond’s first mission as an MI6 recruit. Fans can expect a mix of high-speed car chases, stealth sequences, shootouts, and espionage action. After the gameplay session, IO Interactive developers will provide insights and commentary on the game’s design and mechanics.

007 First Light will be a fresh take on the iconic franchise, telling an origin story of a 26-year-old James Bond still learning the ropes. The game is set for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC platforms.

Fans can tune in to the State of Play livestream on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch channels to get an in-depth look at one of the year’s most anticipated games.

This announcement follows the game’s reveal trailer debut at the June State of Play and continues Sony’s tradition of delivering major updates through these widely watched digital showcases.
