Sarvesh Kushare becomes first Indian to win Commonwealth Games silver in men's high jump | WATCH
India's Sarvesh Kushare created history by becoming the first Indian to win a silver medal in the men's high jump at the Commonwealth Games.
The 31-year-old national record holder cleared 2.25 metres to finish second in the event on Monday, marking his debut appearance at the Games with a podium finish.

Jamaica's Romaine Beckford also cleared 2.25m but was awarded the gold medal on countback after both athletes failed to clear 2.28m. England's Jack Kimani claimed the bronze medal with a jump of 2.20m.
India's other competitor, Adarsh Ram, finished fifth after clearing 2.15m.
Kushare's achievement makes him the first Indian to win a Commonwealth Games silver in the men's high jump. Before this, Tejaswin Shankar was the only Indian medallist in the event, having won bronze at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
The silver also marks Kushare's maiden Commonwealth Games medal, achieved on his first appearance at the multi-sport event.
