Firecrackers burst, injuring spectators during sevens football match in Malappuram | VIDEO

Malappuram: An accident occurred near Areekode, at Therattammal, during a seven-a-side football match. The incident took place just before the start of the match when crackers were set off, causing the accident.

Firecrackers spread widely as they burst, reaching the spectators sitting near the field, resulting in several injuries. Many people were hurt and were taken to nearby private hospitals for treatment.

The incident occurred during the final match between United FC Nellikuth and KMG Mavoor, which had involved the use of firecrackers.
