Liverpool fans back Arne Slot amid Salah rift after Champions League win

Milan: Liverpool fans made their stance clear in the rift between club legend Mohamed Salah and manager Arne Slot by chanting Slot's name loudly before and after Tuesday's 1-0 Champions League victory at Inter Milan.
Around 5,000 travelling supporters backed the coach unequivocally, despite Salah's exclusion from the Italy squad following his public outburst against the club on Saturday.
"That means a lot to me," Slot said of the backing. "But it's not about me, it's about the team. And they were also there for the team. So many away fans in difficult circumstances for the club, and it shows you one more time: If things go against us or if there's a hard time, we're all there for each other, and we fight together, and that's what the fans of the players showed today."

Salah, a two-time Premier League champion and Champions League winner who earned player of the year honours last season with 34 goals en route to Liverpool's record-equaling 20th title, posted a gym photo Tuesday amid his form slump and the team's 10th-place Premier League standing.
After being benched for the third straight match, Salah had declared, "seems like the club has thrown me under a bus", and stated he shares "no relationship" with Slot.

Slot, deflecting questions on Salah's future pre- and post-match, emphasised: "Where I stand is that tonight it should be all about the players that are here. In the rich history Liverpool have, they had many of these evenings, but, in the season we are in, I think if you have an away win in this stadium against such a strong team, then it should be about the midfield ... or about the ones that are here. They deserve all the credit."
