Basil Joseph becomes brand ambassador of Calicut FC

Kozhikode: Acclaimed Malayalam film director and actor Basil Joseph has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Super League Kerala football club Calicut FC. Basil Joseph will attend the club's inaugural match at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode to both watch the game and support the team and its fans.

He will also oversee the prize distribution for a raffle draw based on ticket sales for the first match. VK Mathews, franchise owner and Executive Chairman of IBS Group, highlighted that Basil Joseph's presence is a significant boost for Calicut FC, praising him as a dynamic figure. He termed the young actor-director as “someone who knows the pulse of the youth.”

Several stars from Malayalam cinema are already involved with Super League Kerala. Actors Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali, and Nivin Pauly are co-owners of various clubs. Prithviraj is a co-owner of Forca Kochi, Asif Ali of Kannur Warriors, and Nivin Pauly of Thrissur Magic FC.
