Rawalpindin: South African cricket star Kagiso Rabada etched his name in history by becoming the highest-scoring South African batter at number 11 in Test cricket. In a stunning innings against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, Rabada smashed a rapid 71 runs off just 38 balls, breaking a 119-year-old record previously held by Albert Vogler, who scored 62* in 1906.

This maiden Test half-century from the quick added crucial runs to South Africa's total, helping the Proteas gain a strong lead in the second Test of the series.

Rabada arrived at the crease when South Africa was in a precarious position at 306 for 9. The fast bowler's aggressive batting unsettled the Pakistani bowlers and added crucial runs for the Proteas.

His aggressive hitting pushed South Africa's total past 400 runs, demoralising the Pakistani bowling attack. His unbeaten 71 remains the highest individual score by a No. 11 batsman for South Africa, firmly placing him among the country's cricketing legends.
