FIR filed against IPL star Yash Dayal in sexual exploitation case

Ghaziabad: An FIR has been officially registered against Indian Premier League (IPL) fast bowler Yash Dayal in Ghaziabad. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer is facing serious allegations of sexual exploitation under the false pretence of marriage. The FIR has been filed under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which specifically addresses sexual acts carried out through deceitful means, such as false promises of marriage, an offence that can lead to a prison sentence of up to ten years.
The complainant, a woman from Ghaziabad, claims she was in a five-year relationship with Yash Dayal, during which he allegedly sexually, emotionally, mentally, and physically exploited her, making false promises of marriage. She states he introduced her to his family, deepening her trust, but later his behaviour changed, he blocked her on social media, and refused to marry her. She also alleges he was involved with several other women and that he physically assaulted her when she confronted him.
The woman reportedly possesses chat records, screenshots, video calls, and photographs as evidence to support her claims. She initially filed a complaint with the CM office's portal on June 21, 2025, after an earlier attempt to seek help from the women's helpline on June 14 allegedly saw no action. The FIR was officially registered on Monday, July 7, 2025.
