Sanju Samson’s birthday this year is even more special, as the Kerala-born cricketer continues to soar at the peak of his career, with back-to-back T20I centuries under his belt. To mark the occasion, Rajasthan Royals, his IPL team, celebrated their skipper's special day with a creative and innovative social media post.

The official post shared by Rajasthan Royals on their official X (formerly Twitter) page showcased Sanju in a playful yet artistic homage to the character of Rangannan, from the recently released Mollywood blockbuster Aavesham. Using a photoshopped image, the creators replaced Rangannan’s face with Sanju’s in a memorable birthday bash scene from the movie, sparking widespread excitement and garnering a flood of birthday wishes from netizens. Fans quickly joined the celebrations, flooding the social media post with messages for their favourite cricketer. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also joined in with their own heartfelt birthday wishes for Samson.

Meanwhile, Sanju’s wife, Charulatha Remesh, shared a personal message on Instagram to celebrate her husband's special day. She wrote, "Happy birthday to My Beautiful Impact Player," accompanied by a picture of the couple, which she used as the caption.

Sanju and Charulatha, who tied the knot in 2018 after being college sweethearts, have been one of cricket’s most adored couples.

Sanju Makes History with Back-to-Back T20I Centuries

Last week, Samson made history by scoring a brilliant century against South Africa in the first T20I match in Durban, becoming the first Indian batter to score back-to-back centuries in T20 internationals. His explosive 50-ball 107, which featured 10 towering sixes, followed his remarkable 47-ball 111 against Bangladesh in Hyderabad on October 12. This milestone has further cemented his place among the top T20I players globally.

Samson's incredible innings in Durban included seven fours and 10 sixes, leading India to a commanding 61-run victory over the Proteas. This achievement saw him become only the fourth player in the world to score two consecutive centuries in men’s T20Is, a rare feat that highlights his growing stature in international cricket.

A Journey of Determination and Success

Since his T20I debut in 2015, Samson has faced challenges, batting in various positions without consistent success. His journey, however, has been a testament to perseverance. The initial lack of runs and inconsistency in his performances led to his promotion as an opener, which proved to be the turning point in his career. The back-to-back centuries in Hyderabad and Durban marked the moment when he truly found his rhythm.

For Samson, the journey has been long and filled with hard work, but his recent success has been nothing short of spectacular. His rise as a key player for India, particularly in the T20 format, has delighted fans, with millions of Malayalis across the globe proudly watching his international cricketing journey unfold.
