Abhishek Sharma completes 400 T20 sixes, breaks past Chris Gayle in two records

Abhishek Sharma added two major milestones to his name during his explosive 61 off 28 balls against Pakistan in the Asian Games 2026 men’s cricket final.
The India opener completed 400 sixes in T20 cricket, reaching the landmark in 3,513 balls and moving past Chris Gayle on the list of players to reach the milestone fastest.
Andre Russell remains the fastest to 400 T20 sixes, having reached the mark in 3,027 balls. Gayle had previously held second place after completing 400 sixes in 3,557 deliveries.

He took 651 balls to reach 100 sixes this year, moving ahead of Dewald Brevis, who took 653 balls in 2025, and Gayle, who needed 724 balls in 2016.
Russell again tops the list, having reached 100 sixes in 589 balls in 2019.

Abhishek's 61 came from just 28 balls and included seven sixes and three fours, providing India with a strong start in the gold-medal clash.
