Vadakara: Setting a challenge, the Muslim Youth League’s Thiruvallur Panchayat Committee has announced Rs 10 Lakh cash prize to those who can prove it true that the controversial ‘Kaffir’ jibe originated from Nidumbramanna Youth League Committee’s whatsapp group.

It is clear that a fake whatsapp group was created to spread the particular message, the committee claimed during a press conference. The screenshot of the fake post was spread even by CPM senior leaders in order to create a divide in society. The committee also claimed that it has no such whatsapp group among the Nidumbramanna Youth League workers.

The committee members said a fake whatsapp group was created in the name of MSF leader Muhammed Kasim. The CPM is behind the conspiracy. As soon as the lie started spreading, Muhammed Kasim and the Youth League filed a complaint with the police. Kasim had even handed over his phone to the police for probing, they added.

The police returned his phone as nothing could be detected from it, they said.

They demanded the culprits be brought before the law.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case on the basis of the complaint filed by the Youth League.
