VK Sreekandan not to give up on Palakkad, leading with 73,000 votes

Palakkad: Palakkad Lok Sabha constituency candidate and sitting MP VK Sreekandan is assured of his win. Sreekandan is advancing with a lead of more than 73,000 votes. So far, VK Sreekandan has garnered more than three and a half lakh votes. LDF candidate A Vijayaraghavan is second with more than two and a half lakh votes. BJP candidate C Krishnakumar is in the third position with over two lakh votes.

A Vijayaraghavan was leading in the first phase of counting but later slipped to the second position. The NDA candidate was second for several hours. But with VK Sreekandan increasing his lead, C Krishnakumar was pushed far behind to the third position.

Sreekandan won the 2019 election with 11,637 votes. A total of 3,99,274 votes were counted. The LDF candidate got 3,87,637 votes. NDA candidate C Krishnakumar, whose vote percentage increased to 21.44, received 2,18,556 lakh votes from Palakkad in 2019.
