Mathrubhumi News-P-MARQ poll: Upper hand for UDF in Kerala; NDA to win more than 360 seats

Thiruvananthapuram: The results of the opinion poll, jointly conducted by Mathrubhumi News and P-MARQ (Politique Marquer), suggest that the UDF is poised for victory in Kerala, winning 17 out of the 20 Lok Sabha seats.
UDF is likely to secure 15 to 18 seats by garnering 44.5 percent of the votes. The vote shares of LDF (1-5 seats) and NDA (0-1) are 34.9 percent and 17.9 percent, respectively.
LDF may manage to secure three seats—Kannur, Vadakara, and Palakkad. NDA is not likely to win any seats in the state, with the only chance being the Thrissur constituency.
The picture became clearer as the second phase results of the Mathrubhumi News and P-MARQ poll were released on Tuesday.
The opinion poll also shed light on the national scene. NDA is expected to retain power at the Centre by securing 360 to 390 seats. The party is likely to garner a vote share of 46.9 percent. Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc is expected to win 125 to 145 seats and secure 36.3 percent of the vote share. Other parties are projected to win 25 to 40 seats, obtaining 16.8 percent of the vote share.
The survey results indicate a clear upper hand for NDA in states like Uttar Pradesh (68-74 seats), Gujarat (25-26 seats), and Bihar (32-38 seats).
These results stem from surveys conducted at the state and national levels. The state-level survey took place between March 27 and April 12, with 25,386 participants, while the national-level survey was conducted between March 30 and April 10, with 16,971 participants.
